Granite State College is an institution of the University System of New Hampshire whose mission is to expand access to public higher education to students of all ages in the US state of New Hampshire.
History and mission
Founded in 1972 and headquartered in Concord, Granite State College is one of the four institutions of the University System of New Hampshire. The primary focus of the college is to serve as the system's choice institution for adults and other college students who value an accessible and affordable education, delivered at local campuses and online.
Accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges, Granite State College offers associate and bachelor's degrees, master's degrees, post-baccalaureate programs for teacher education, transfer opportunities, and 100% online degree programs.
Dr. Mark Rubinstein currently serves as the president of the college.

Locations
Granite State College operates a network of eleven statewide locations, as well as online. In addition to the college's Concord headquarters, it maintains campuses in Claremont, Conway, Lebanon, Littleton, Nashua, Manchester, Portsmouth, and Rochester. The college operates on the campuses of its partners within the Community College System of New Hampshire, which include on-site classrooms at Nashua Community College and shared space and resources at Manchester Community and Great Bay Community College, Pease International Tradeport campus. An additional partnership with River Valley Community College (RVCC) welcomes RVCC students to the Claremont campus.
Notable achievements
In 2014, Granite State College garnered recognition from U.S. News and World Report in their compilation of the "Best Online Degree Programs", ranking 48th for bachelor's degrees and 73rd for online graduate business degrees. In both categories, GSC is the top college or university in New Hampshire to achieve this honor.
In addition, Granite State College achieved a top 5 national ranking in the Washington Monthly 2013 liberal arts college rankings for "Social Mobility," securing the #1 spot in New England. Nationally, GSC is the second-highest ranked public institution.
In July of 2014, a report released by the US Department of Education recognized Granite State College as the least expensive college in New England based on tuition and fees. The study only included four-year schools.
Organization
The college is one of four institutions that comprise the University System of New Hampshire. The other three USNH institutions are the University of New Hampshire, Plymouth State University, and Keene State College.
